This Day: Visit us each day for a contemplative experience – an image, a Scripture reading, a quotation from Fruit of the Vine, a query, and a poem-prayer. On Saturday each week, we will feature an excerpted Quaker testimony. On Sunday each week, we will offer a Scripture reading, historic Quaker quotation, questions for consideration, and a personal essay from the Illuminate lesson for that week.

Scripture: Philippians 4:8; Luke 19:1–10

“I have always wanted to be present in this story to hear what Jesus said, or how he spoke to change Zacchaeus’s mind to do what was right. He was a wealthy man, and after being with Jesus, he decided give up that wealth and make reparation to people for wrongs he had done to them.” –Deborah Climer, Fruit of the Vine

Query: What might doing what is right look like for you?

Enough

What is is enough.

Enough for breathing

enough food

enough drink

and enough to share with a friend.

–Carol Bialock, Coral Castles
