This Day: Visit us each day for a contemplative experience – an image, a Scripture reading, a quotation from Fruit of the Vine, a query, and a poem-prayer. On Saturday each week, we will feature an excerpted Quaker testimony. On Sunday each week, we will offer a Scripture reading, historic Quaker quotation, questions for consideration, and a personal essay from the Illuminate lesson for that week.

Scripture: Genesis 1:20–22

“God created birds, and we know that God called this effort very good. Anyone looking at birds, even superficially, sees a huge variety in size, shape, color, vocalization, general habits, and the care of young. In other words, God is creative beyond our comprehension.” –Gary K. Fawver, Fruit of the Vine

Query: Are you aware of the incredible differences in God’s creation? Do you appreciate all that makes each person you meet a unique individual, made in the image of God?
