This Day: Visit us each day for a contemplative experience – an image, a Scripture reading, a quotation from Fruit of the Vine, a query, and a poem-prayer. On Saturday each week, we will feature an excerpted Quaker testimony. On Sunday each week, we will offer a Scripture reading, historic Quaker quotation, questions for consideration, and a personal essay from the Illuminate lesson for that week.

Scripture: Psalm 145:4

“Stories and testimonies are a profound part of spiritual legacy too. They are a reminder of where we have been and where we are now because of God.” –Flo Harvey, Fruit of the Vine

Query: Do you find opportunities to tell your story of how God has loved you and provided for you?

so much I hold dear in this flawed space

I long to return, not in time but place

infuse faith in a different way, welcoming

differences, explorations, questioning

God is a something somewhere

Jesus made great appearances

Spirit exists as Light in all

waving against rigid injustices

confident now, unwavering

finding peace in knowing less

not worried anymore about losing you

all questions and some yes

–Joann Renee Boswell, from “Alma Mater” in Cosmic Pockets
