Arthur O. Roberts is professor-at-large at George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon, where he began teaching in 1953 following completion of Ph.D. in church history at Boston University. He is a recorded Friends minister whose service has included pastoral, academic, and political leadership. Quaker historian, philosopher, lecturer, lyricist, and poet, he has written a number of books, including Drawn by the Light (autobiographical) and its new postscript The Bonus Years, Sunrise and Shadow, Look Closely at the Child, Exploring Heaven, Prayers at Twilight, and The Sacred Ordinary. Arthur and his wife, Fern, live at the Friendsview Retirement Community in Newberg, Oregon. They have three children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
