Mark R. McMinn

I became acquainted with Barclay Press during my first stint on the faculty of George Fox College (now George Fox University), from 1984 to 1993. After a pleasant 13-year sojourn in Illinois—where my wife, Lisa McMinn, and I both taught at Wheaton College—we are now back in the Pacific Northwest.
Lisa teaches undergraduate sociology at George Fox University, and I teach psychology in George Fox's Graduate Department of Clinical Psychology. Lisa is a writer too—her recent books include Sexuality and Holy Longing (Jossey-Bass), Growing Strong Daughters (Baker), and The Contented Soul (InterVarsity Press). My most recent books include Why Sin Matters (Tyndale), Finding Our Way Home (Jossey-Bass), Integrative Psychotherapy (InterVarsity Press), and Sin and Grace in Christian Counseling (InterVarsity Press). We have three grown daughters; they are scattered around the country, at least for now. Lisa and I enjoy long walks, working outside, teaching, traveling, writing, and speaking.
A publisher convinced Lisa and me that we should have Web sites. Though it seems at least a bit pretentious, you can find out more about our work at www.markmcminn.com and www.lisamcminn.com.
