Growing up in Moses Lake, Washington, there were two things I knew I did not want to do when I grew up—be a teacher or be a nurse. Graduating with a degree in business from George Fox College (now University) prepared me to do something I truly enjoy: bookkeeping at Barclay Press. Working part time allows me to focus on my other “occupation”—home schooling my two sons, Benjamin (17) and Joshua (14). My daughters, Elizabeth (25) and Miriam (24), recently graduated from George Fox University; Elizabeth is now teaching preschool in Alaska and Miriam is teaching English in China. Keeping up with the girls' international travel and the boys' love of hunting and the challenges of school mean busy days, but I relax when I can with a good book, a favorite recipe, or a new cross stitch pattern.
