Dan McCracken

I was 21 when I started working at Barclay Press. Harlow Ankeny hired me as a part-time typesetter operating a Linotype machine. Over the years I've left Barclay Press twice and both times I ended up coming back.
For 20 years I've been married to Cindy—a registered nurse who is responsible for infection control at our local hospital. The fact that she is a three-year cancer survivor has stimulated my active participation in Relay for Life through the American Cancer Society. Additionally, my interest is heightened by the fact that I have a daughter, Trina, who died from a brain tumor, and my mother died of breast cancer when I was in junior high.
I have three married children, one granddaughter, and Cindy and I have a daughter who is a junior at George Fox University and a son who is a junior at Newberg High School.
