I am absolutely certain that Christ shines through me every day I am at my job. I have been an elementary school teacher for the past 23 years and have not ONCE felt "burnt out" as so many of my colleagues have. My frustrations have included "red tape" and "gossiping" but never my work with my students. Every day, before arriving on campus, I pray that God will work through me, and I know he does. I am considered an exceptional teacher, patient and kind, but that is all God's working through me. I love my job, which I see as a vocation, even though I work in the public school system. I can see people around me changed as a result of God's work through me. Daily I pray to "walk in the light" and my prayer is answered.
