Tom Adams

I am an ordained Presbyterian minister and I currently work as a marriage, family, and child therapist in Los Angeles, where I provide counseling at a homeless shelter through the Salvation Army and at a housing complex for families with HIV/AIDS called Alegria. I also have a private practice. As a pastor I have served congregations in Glendale, California, and Washington State but most of my pastoral work has been as a medical chaplain and pastoral counselor for hospice. I have also been a prison chaplain and spent many nights on-call in hospital emergency rooms.
I am a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary, Regent College (in Vancouver, B.C.), and Phillips Graduate Institute. I am married to Karen, who is a journalist and teaches senior high U.S. history. We have two sons—Daniel, 20, and Christopher, 17.
