Robert Gonzalez

I am an itinerant teacher and Ph.D. student in Southern California. I live with my wife, Cyndi, in the spiritual war zone that is the suburban San Gabriel Valley, and I'm a member and elder at Glendora Friends Church in Southwest Yearly Meeting. This is strange because there is no “Southwest Yearly Meeting.” There is an “Evangelical Friends Church Southwest,” though what evangelical means is debatable. Also, we call our yearly meeting sessions “Annual Conference.” Nonetheless, that is where you'll find me happily situated with Friends. I am the author of a collection of works explaining the freedom of worship and the nature of the community implicit in the New Testament, as well as a number of autobiographical essays you have yet to read.
