I have been wandering around the countryside for the last 25 years sharing my love for and my belief in the church. As a rather hopeless idealist, I am convinced that Jesus really wants us to be joined together in him and to learn what it means to embody his way of life to the world.
In this season of life, I have the joy of serving Jesus' people as general superintendent of Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends. Even though I have served in this role since July 2004, I still find myself surprised (and pleased!) that I have been called and released for this ministry. For reasons beyond my understanding, God has allowed me to be involved in all kinds of fun and interesting things since I became a Christian in 1980. More and more I marvel at the grace of God and am increasingly grateful for each new day.
My wife, Janine, and I live in Newberg, Oregon. We have four children—Hanna, Ellie, Amy, and Samuel.
