Pam Ferguson

After nine years in Sudan and Uganda, my husband and I returned to the United States in 1998. We felt it was time for a break from the war, violence, disease, and poverty of daily life in Africa. It was also time to learn how to be Americans again. There are days, however, when I wonder if the only thing that changed in our lives was the continent.
Ron and I co-pastor a Friends meeting in eastern Indiana. We managed to come “out of Africa” and land at a meeting willing to release us for ministry in our community. In both Winchester, Indiana, and Kampala, Uganda, the passion of my life is to make a difference in our world. I seek each day to live with integrity, to live simply, to find ways to encourage peace, to invest in community, and to see that of God in every human being I encounter. Some days are more successful than others, but it still proves to be an incredibly blessed life.
