Karla Morton

I live in Meridian, Idaho, where I am the pastor of Friends House, a Friends/Mennonite gathering in my home. I am also the resource center director for the Snake River mission area of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Somehow they figured that I know enough about Reformation theology and trusted that my Anabaptist/Friends theology would not get in the way as I provide resources for Presbyterian congregations!
I am married to Craig, a pastor, teacher, mediator, and consultant. He also works with an emerging ministry, Allelon, besides working with the emerging leaders of other home congregations. We have been excited to see God's answer to the prayer of Jesus in John 17 for the unity of the church being realized in our ministry here in Meridian.
Craig and I are also the parents of four children: Ian (twenty-two), Jessie (nineteen), Meg (fifteen), and Nathan (eight). They have taught us a lot through the years. However, what many would consider my formal training took place at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff (bachelor's in education), and Friends University, Wichita, Kansas (master's in Christian ministry).
I enjoy cycling class, exercise, eating (that's why I need to exercise), reading, some crafts, gardening, and getting together with others! And, of course, Bible study, prayer, church gatherings, and seeking after Jesus daily (not always an easy task).
