Josh Reid

It's not every day I write my own bio; it has a rather cryptic feel to it, as if I'm writing my own obituary. My life is fairly simple but full of good things: playing “Ticket to Ride” and watching The Amazing Race with my wife, Kayla; staying active with my three kids: Zachary (seven), Moriah (six), and Lia (five); and reading/discussing books with friends.
Kayla and I met on the first day of freshman orientation at George Fox University and we've been "special friends" ever since. I've been a youth pastor for the past eight years and I can't think of anything I could love to do more. I've been a student at George Fox Evangelical Seminary but I've managed to condense a two-year degree into ten years.
I've become consumed with a burden for the plight of children affected by the global sex trade, and I've been to Thailand and India with the hope of being part of a lasting solution. Check out Remember Nhu and International Justice Mission if you get a chance.
My heroes include John Woolman, Bono, Cleta Crisman, and Paul Julius Bock. If Jed Bartlet (from The West Wing) ran for president, I'd vote for him.
