I teach Christian history and spiritual formation at George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and am a recorded minister in Northwest Yearly Meeting. I also serve on the pastoral team of Reedwood Friends Church and serve as a spiritual director. I received my Ph.D. in theology from the University of Birmingham, England. I recently had a book published called Holiness: The Soul of Quakerism. When I'm not teaching, preaching, or writing, I enjoy playing tennis. After raising four sons, I feel blessed with three granddaughters, and one grandson. I live in Vancouver, Washington.
